It’s been a really busy start to the school year for Senco Services, and as we close out the Autumn term (and welcome in the Christmas Holidays!) it’s time to start thinking about the Spring and all the things that this brings!
For Exam Access Arrangements, that means deadlines.
The Joint Council for Qualifications set two dates that will concern you if you are a SENDCo, and these dates relate to both GCSE’s and GCE’s (A Levels) access arrangements deadlines.
31st January 2024
Final date for ordering modified papers using Access arrangements online (AAO).
Modified papers would include those in larger font sizes, modified language, non-interactive questions (for e-readers and copying to coloured paper), braille and tactile diagrams.
If you beleive you have any pupils that require any of the above, you will need to have had them assessed to evidence the young person’s need and the modified papers ordered, by this deadline.
21st March 2024
Final date to process applications for access arrangements using Access arrangements online (AAO).
For pupils that may require extra time, scribes, readers or oral language modifiers Exam Access Arrangement Assessments needs to have been conducted and submitted with AAO by the 21st March.
If you are still looking to get your EAA in place, we are currently taking bookings for February and March, please don’t leave this too late, as our Assessors typically get booked up quite quickly!
