This March Senco Services have some exciting news to share regarding a new partnership with CPotential.
CPotential offer a range of holistic integrated therapies and support for children and young people with movement disorders, due to conditions such as cerebral palsy, global developmental delay or acquired brain injury.
Senco Services are within alongside them to offer an Educational Advice Partnership – giving educational advice for families working with the charity, helping them in the following areas:
- Navigating the SEN Code of Practice
- Explaining EHCPs; applications, timelines, and review process
- Reasonable adjustments and the Equalities Act in an Educational Setting
- Accessing Educational Assessments
- Interpreting EHCPs
- Supporting applications for DLA
Brett Parker, CEO at CPotential said “This new partnership will be extremely useful to our families. We are often told how challenging and time-consuming it is to navigate any special educational needs and support, in addition to the numerous challenges parents and carers of disabled children are already faced with on a daily basis”.
I’ll be broadcasting a Facebook Live Q&A event on 22nd April with CPotential – feel free to pop along where I’ll be explaining how Special Educational Needs provision works in mainstream settings, how the SEND register is compiled and talking a little bit about EHCPs – hopefully providing some special insight for Parents and Carers to help them navigate the complex world of SEND in Education.
